Celebrating Success with Edwina Bartholomew - International Women’s Day

10 Mar 2017 - Town Hall

Presented By Savvy Birds and Gray Heart

Savvy Birds is a women’s development network, established in Tamworth, that was launched with the goal of providing regional women the development opportunities they need to succeed. With huge growth in 2016, and identification of local women’s needs and desire for inspiration, International Women’s Day 2017 seemed like the perfect opportunity to celebrate success of women regionally.

Savvy Birds are thrilled to present special guest, Channel 7 Journalist, Edwina Bartholomew for International Women’s Day on Friday 10 March, 2017. Edwina Bartholomew is a journalist with over 10 years’ experience working in Television and Radio. Edwina enjoys one of the most diverse roles at the Seven Network. 2016 saw her relinquish her role as weather presenter to join Sunrise hosts David Koch and Samantha Armytage, Mark Beretta and Natalie Barr in the studio. Edwina also co-hosts Dancing with the Stars, has reported for Seven Sport and filed longer investigative stories for the network's flagship current affairs program, Sunday Night.

With Edwina’s background of University education at Charles Sturt in Bathurst and working for Prime News Orange, Edwina comes with a wealth of knowledge of the benefits from starting in a regional area.

Following Edwina’s keynote address, she will be joined by the incredible regional talent that New England and the North West has to offer. Anna Davis, Editor-in-chief - Downtown Magazine, Sally Dickinson - Chair of Women in Cotton (WinCott) and Helen Tickle - Deputy Mayor of Tamworth, will all be sharing their journeys, joys and challenges in an interactive panel that will also allow for discussion of the importance of celebrating success of women in our regional area.

Following the panel questions, the floor will be opened for live questions for the very special guests

Join us for this celebration, with a complimentary glass of sparking wine on arrival, an evening of inspirational guests, and access to celebration booths of local business and contributors who will be showcasing our regions talent.
